Letter from the Editors
Welcome to Georgia Political Review of Politics and Foreign Affairs! Launched in May of 2011, we are the first publication of our kind in the history of the University of Georgia. We seek to be the nonpartisan forum of discussion on politics and current events on the local, state, national and international level.
Our vision for GPR is rooted in curiosity and determination. In describing how Voltaire would view free speech, Evelyn Hall stated “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”. In many ways, this is our motto.
It goes without saying that we live in a big complex world with global issues growing more complicated each day. With heightened polarity and public discontent with world affairs, there has never been a greater need for intellectual debate on these issues.
From Kanye West to the West Wing – GPR wants to be there for it all. So the people who are thinkers, producers, innovators, strategists– those who understand the future, these are our people. Join us as we examine the world around us.
All the best,
Tucker Green
Editor-in-Chief
